Presidio Jazz Lab
Based in San Francisco, we play small-combo jazz from the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s - music that emphasizes beautiful harmonies, swinging rhythms, and a lot of fun.
The Jazz Classics
Presidio Jazz Lab’s music draws upon The Great American Songbook, with familiar melodies by George Gershwin, Cole Porter, and Jerome Kern, as well as blues-infused, swinging “hard bop” tunes by Horace Silver and Clifford Brown, and modern, impressionistic compositions by Wayne Shorter and Bill Evans, among many others. The group’s members have a wealth of performance experience in venues around the San Francisco Bay Area as well as in Europe and Japan and enjoy a warm and joyful musical rapport developed over many years of collaboration.
